Macclesfield Town Council commits to play area improvements

Macclesfield Town Council has recently made a commitment to re-vamping two of the town’s play areas.

Hall Grove park, in Tytherington, and High Street/St James’ Place park, will each benefit from significant investment into providing brand new, inspiring areas to play.

Town Councillors agreed to a £100,000 investment in the parks as part of a programme to make improvements to play areas across the town. The tender process led to the appointment of Hags UK to carry out the work and complete the transformations.

Hags UK has provided some initial ideas and now the local communities in each of the areas will be invited to help complete the final designs.

Helena Gowler, Community Engagement and Events Officer for Macclesfield Town Council said ‘This is the start of what will be an ongoing project to refresh the town’s play areas. We are really excited about the initial designs and we are looking forward to providing some engaging new areas for local children to play outdoors’.

Work is expected to commence in July.
