Macclesfield Fire Station is opening its doors to the public for a free family event that promises something for all ages.
There will be a range of activities offering fun for all the family at the fire station on Chester Road from 12pm to 4pm on Sunday 12 August.
Station Manager Duncan Palin said: “This is a great way for the community to discover more about their local fire station and learn about some of the work we undertake.
“The team will be doing operational demonstrations throughout the day and there will also be the kitchen safety vehicle and a road traffic collision demonstration to keep visitors entertained, plus much more.
“We would like as many people as possible to come along to the open day, have a great time and leave with some vital safety messages.”
As part of the event there’ll be a number of displays, including the chance to look round a variety of modern and vintage fire and rescue vehicles.
In addition, we’ll also have the smoke tent, face painting and a variety of community stands including Cheshire Police and North West Ambulance Service.
