Members and Friends of the Rotary Club of Macclesfield Castle were out in force to undertake the road closure to enable the Remembrance Parade last Sunday (10th November) to pass through the town, to the Cenotaph, then return safely.
Cheshire Police were in attendance and PC Emily said that: “This was a peaceful and very well organised road closure”.
Macclesfield Town Clerk, Pete Turner, thanked all the Rotary team for “stepping in at the last minute and providing the resource to manage the road closure safely”.
