Gong for Macclesfield Canal apartments

The Bridges, an apartment development situated on the banks of the Macclesfield Canal on Buxton Road, has won a building industry ‘Oscar’.

The development won the Silver Award for Best Retirement Development at the WhatHouse? Awards 2019, the UK housebuilding’s most prestigious event.

The judges praised the developers, Adlington Retirement Living’s, approach to independent living, “where homeowners don’t have to compromise on their lifestyle, their social life or their independence.”

The WhatHouse? Awards, attended by over 1,500 guests, were held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London – astronaut Tim Peake presented the awards and comedian and television presenter, Dara O’Briain was the celebrity host.
