World war 1 commemoration project

An opportunity to explore less common themes of war loss and personal perspectives through artistic creation.

Help create a Hidden Loss banner and/or work with other artistic media such as papier mache, origami and carpentry. The project includes an optional
10-session programme, with professional artistic guidance.

Themes might include:
Conscientious Objection
Execution for desertion
Women on the Home Front
‘Surplus’ women
Lasting loss – death, disability, mental ill-health
Campaigns for peace
Past, present and future

Launch event: September 23rd 2014, 6.30 p.m. Come along and find out what’s happening.
(The first group meetings are Monday October 6th 7 – 9 p.m. & Wednesday 15th October 2 – 4 p.m.)
