There are people out there sitting on fortunes from unclaimed estates – never knowing anything about it.

The unclaimed estates occur when owners pass away having not written a will and without any known living relatives and estates left unclaimed for 30 years becomes permanent property of the Crown and the Treasury.

Those who do make a claim could be entitled to all of the property, money and personal possessions of a deceased person. In most cases these unclaimed estates are of little value – but in some cases could be worth millions.
