Supporting Knutsford Heritage Centre, this fund raising event is for a life sized wood sculpture of King Canute in Knutsford.
Knutsford was recorded in William the Conqueror’s Domesday Book of 1086 as Cunetesford (“Canute’s ford”). It is said by many that Knutsford derives its name from the Danish King Canute.
