A Poynton man has been jailed for drugs supply offences.
Joshua Harrison, 34, of Copperfield Road, Poynton, appeared at Chester Crown Court on Tuesday 26 March where he was sentenced to three years imprisonment.
Chantelle Jackson, 37, also of Copperfield Road, Poynton, was sentenced to two years, suspended for two years.
They had both previously pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of class A and B drugs.
On Wednesday 25 January 2023, a warrant was executed at the pair’s home address. The warrant was authorised following months of intelligence suggesting Harrison and Jackson were involved in dealing cocaine and cannabis from the address.
During the warrant, a total of 14 electronic devices were recovered, alongside scales with remnants of white powder, cannabis, steroids, and snapbags.
Harrison was subsequently arrested while Jackson was invited for a voluntary interview at a later date.
The mobile phones which were seized showed evidence of the pair being in regular conversation about selling drugs. There was also further communication from Jackson to other individuals about drugs for sale.
Meanwhile, examination of the scales provided a positive match for both cocaine and cannabis.
PC Jarrad Sainsbury said:
“The warrant executed in January 2023 was the result of intelligence gathered into Harrison and Jackson’s criminal behaviour.
“I hope this shows just how serious we take crimes of this nature. Illegal drugs can have a devastating impact on communities and Harrison and Jackson’s activities were contributing to this.
“But thanks to officers’ efforts in obtaining evidence against them, both individuals were left with no option but to plead guilty and are now facing time behind bars.”
