Prestbury Choral Society Yuletide concert

The Magnificat is a celebrated choral work composed by by Giovanni Battista Pergoles in 1739.

It features a variety of musical styles, from exuberant jubilations to reflective, intimate passages, and really showcases his mastery of melody and harmony.

Its enduring popularity has made it a staple in choral repertoire, celebrated for its artistic beauty and its profound spiritual message. Combined with selections from Handel’s Messiah and other seasonal music, with carols for audience and choir, this promises to be a really enjoyable evening.

Saturday 30^th November, 7.30pm, at St Bartholomew’s Church, Wilmslow, SK9 1AW.
