Remembrance Day

Remembrance Sunday on 10 November and Armistice Day on Monday 11 November will mark the anniversary of the day the First World War ended in 1918.

On Sunday 10 November, the council will be represented by elected members and officers at many Remembrance Day services across the borough, where wreaths will be laid on behalf of Cheshire East.

To pay tribute to our veterans, there will be short services of remembrance outside Macclesfield Town Hall on Monday 11 November, shortly before 11 am.

This is being organised by Macclesfield Town Council and the Royal British Legion. Everyone is invited to attend these ceremonies.

Do take the time to go along to these services in order to pay your respects.
