Joint Audit Advisory Committee members sought

The Joint Audit Advisory Committee (JAAC) for Cheshire police is seeking members.

Police & Crime Commissioner for Cheshire, Dan Price and Chief Constable, Mark Roberts, are looking to appoint a Chair and members of the Joint Audit Advisory Committee (JAAC), which provides independent assurance around the governance and financial arrangements of the Constabulary and Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner.

Whilst not a scrutiny function, the JAAC support good governance and strong financial management and advise the Commissioner and Chief Constable directly.

Members must have a good understanding of risk management, governance, audit and financial controls and the annual accounts. Ideally the Chair should have previous experience of chairing meetings.

A small remuneration package is paid to the Chair and to Members. More information about the role is available here.

The closing date for applications is 9am on Monday 10th February 2025. Interviews are planned for Thursday 20th Februrary 2025.
