Man sought following Macclesfield assault

Macclesfield Police are investigating reports of an assault, in the town, on Sunday, 9th February.

Police received reports of an assault at the White Lion public house in Mill Street, Macclesfield and have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.

The incident occurred at some time between 11.30 pm on Saturday 8 February and 12.30 am on Sunday 9 February. The 21-year-old female victim did not sustain injuries.

Police Constable Martin Arrundale said:

“As part of our ongoing investigation, we are now urging anyone who recognises the man pictured in the CCTV images to get in touch with us.

“We would also like to appeal directly to the man in the images to make contact with us.
