Macclesfield Sheepdog Trials

You don’t have to be a shepherd, sheep, sheepdog or farmer to enjoy the Macclesfield Sheepdog Trials.

   

Plenty going on to keep everyone interested – including a craft fair, demonstrations of country crafts, kids crafts, ducks, pigs – and of course sheep . . . and sheepdogs . . . and shepherds . . . and farmers!

   

The Macclesfield Sheepdog Trials is taking place now, Friday and Saturday, opposite the Moss Rose, on London Road, Macclesfield

Pupils from Wincle School observed a sheep being sheared, helped wash the wool, dye it, then card it before making this beautiful composition.
