Police issue warning following spate of burglaries across Cheshire

Police are urging owners of licensed premises to be vigilant following a spate of burglaries at pubs in Northwich, Tarporley and Holmes Chapel.

The four premises on Broken Cross Place, Rudheath; Tarporley Road, Tarporley; Chester Road, Hartford and Middlewich Road, Holmes Chapel were targeted on the morning of Sunday 6 September.

Investigating officers are looking at the possibility that these incidents could be linked and are asking any potential witnesses to contact the police.

Detective Constable John Brundrett, who is leading the investigation, said “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen any cars or people in the area of the pubs, or to any regular patrons who may have noticed anyone behaving suspiciously in the area.

“I urge other licensed premises in the area to remain vigilant and report anything suspicious to the police on 101.”

Alternatively, information can be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
