OPEN MEETING THIS THURSDAY: DOES MACCLESFIELD NEED A NEW AND LARGER TESCO

We`ve now had clarification on the cut-off date for representations (relating to the planned Tesco development).

There is no problem at all with the Council receiving representations after the 29th February right until the Planning Application is determined (date not yet been arranged but anticipated April). The date of 29th February is the minimum consultation period we are required to provide and therefore acts as a guide to any interested parties, but it is not a fixed deadline in the sense of a cut off point for representations.
